I was shocked and saddened to learn of Pat and Perry's passing. I first met Pat about 10 years ago, as she did an internship with me while she was still in grad school. She was always kind, and had such a warm smile. In the years since, I often ran into her at speech conferences, or even just shopping around Aiken. I will remember both families in thought and prayer in the days ahead.

I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Pat. She attended grad school at USC and was in the class ahead of me. She helped me get oriented to the program and shared great insight. She was such a kind and thoughtful person she will be missed as a speech-language pathologist and a friend. Her family as well as Perry's has my deepest sympathy and are in my family's prayers.

I am so very sorry to learn of this tragic passing. I worked with Pat and Perry for several years. More recently, I would see them at church on Sunday mornings. We usually sat near each other and we would always make it a point to speak to each other. If Pat was alone, I knew Perry was working and she and I would lament over the schedule of shift workers. I will miss her very much.

Pat was a sweet and kind person that will be dearly missed. She
worked at Pediatric Therapy and was a wonderful speech therapist.
She has made a big difference in many childrenâ??s lives. The only
comfort we have is that they were saved by the blood of Jesus and we
will be reunited with them.

I have known Pat about 9 1/2 years when I first began working in South Carloina's Early Intervention System. She has always had a warm and beatiful spirit. The children that I have referred to her for speech all loved "Mrs.Pat" and will truly miss her. On behalf of many of the families that Pat and I shared, as well as my staff at Aiken County Board of Disabilities, our thoughts and prayers are with the family. We feel blessed for the time we had to share with Pat. Both families will always be in our thoughts and prayers.

My children and I are so sorry for the loss of this nice couple. We live two doors down from them. Although we were just "passing neighbors," it will be sad not to see them walking, working in the yard, and helping another neighbor with his lawn mower. They seemed to be so happy. Our deepest condolences and sympathy to each of their families. We hope that their families can find peace and comfort in God's love. Sue, Michael, and Ashley Whisenant

I am so deeply saddened by the loss of this awesome woman. She was my son Rito's speech therapist for about 2 years and he would not be the boy he is now if it wasn't for her. She had so much love and dedication for my son and all of her patients. She was such a sweet woman and she will truly be missed by Me, my son Rito and by all. I know that she is up there in heaven right now holding an angels hand, watching over us. God bless her and her husband.
