Funeral services for Mrs. Rose Eva Lybrand will take place on Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at 11am at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken with Revs. Cathy Cole, David Holdman and Jason Geier officiating. Pallbearers will be: Wes Cadden, Nick Busby, Chas Cadden, Cole Busby, Henry Lowe, Brian Holdman, Ronald Tuten, Kraig Holdman, Chris Barton and Brian Mims Interment will follow at Aiken Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday evening, from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Lybrand, 90, of Aiken, died Friday at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. A daughter of the late Murray and Mary Alma Brown Morrison, she was born in Cumberland, VA where she lived before moving to Aiken in 1945. A longtime member of Aiken's First Baptist Church, she was a homemaker, but had worked at Warneke Cleaners and Masonic Center Florist over the years. She might be best known for her job as "Official Greeter" at Mattie C. Hall Health Care Center, where she had been a resident. In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by her husband, WIlliam B. Lybrand, who died in 1993, a brother and two sisters. Mrs. Lybrand is survived by her daughter; Brenda and her husband, Roddy Busby, Montmorenci, four grandchildren; Wes Cadden, Nick Busby, Sandy Bernhardt and John Vaughn, four great grandchildren; Chas Cadden, Hailey Cadden, Cole Busby and Maven Rose Busby and two great, great grandchildren; Kayla Marie Cadden and Christian Barton.
