Anita,
You may not remember me but Eloise Maddox is my first cousin. Her mother Mary still living and my mother Ruby passed away were sisters. I have very fond memories of visiting with Delores at her home on Gilmer Avenue, at her florist, and at her variety store. She was very proud of her children, and I knew you and Albert through her eyes. I have not spoken to Eloise in the past few weeks, but I saw the obituary in the Tallassee Tribune. You have my sincerest condolences.

Anita and family:
My thoughts and prayers are with you during these hurting hours and days. I miss him already even though I have not seen him in several years. We had a wonderful time down at Roland\'s place on the river down in Denmark S. C.. I can hear him now telling us how to cook and saying things like hey, I better taste that to make sure it\'s flavored right. Well we be praying for you and yours during you hurting hours and days ahead.
In Christ

Dear Maddox Family,
I was really sorry to hear of Al\'s passing. We worked together when I was a contractor to Westinghouse before actually hiring on with them in 1989. Al was one of the most cheerful people I ever met and we kidded around a bit since I was a Yankee through and through. My thought and prayers are with you all at this time. May God bless.

I was so sorry to hear of Al\'s passing. I often think of the many Friday afternoons we spent talking in your garden and the "hot wings" Al used to make for us. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Please call if I can be of any help.

Al Maddox was one of the fine men I have known in my many years. He had a warm and friendly smile and greeted strangers as a new friend. The late Gene Whitman, who also was from Alabama, introduced me to Al years ago when he was a member of the county board of education. Al always put school children first. We will miss him at the Downtown Coffee Club. We were proud to call him a member of our group.
