Funeral Services for Mary Katherine Mikos will be held Monday, February 12, 2007 in Jefferson, OH. Memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd St. New York, NY 10016. George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken is assisting the family. Funeral services in Ohio, will be under the diretion of Fleming-Billman Funeral Home 49 West Jefferson St. Jefferson, OH 44047 440- 576-4055. Mrs. Mikos, 70, of Aiken, died Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. She was born in Barnesboro, PA and had lived in Rome, OH before moving to Aiken in 2006. Mrs. Mikos was an LPN and worked for many years at University Hospital in Cleveland. She was also an accomplished artist and many of her paintings still hang in area hospitals and doctor's offices. She enjoyed cooking and watching western movies, but loved her grandchildren and step grandchildren. Mrs. Mikos was a communicant of St. Mary Help of Christians Church in Aiken and Sacred Heart Church in the Village of Rock Creek, OH. Her husband, Stanley Mikos, died in 2004. She is survived by two sons, Mark Mikos and his wife Ilishe, Aiken, and Richard Mikos and his wife Shirley, Rome, OH; two grandchildren, Kathleen Mikos and Alexander Mikos and three step grandchildren, August Napoli, Tony Napoli and Alicia Pace. She is also survived by her father in law, George Mikos, Auburn, WA.
