Funeral services for Mrs. Wilsie B. Love will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2006 at 11am at George Funeral Home 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken with Rev. Steve Neal officiating. Interment will take place at 4pm at Fork Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Heath Springs, SC. There will be a visitation at the church from 3:00 ? 4:00pm on Saturday afternoon. Visitation will be at George Funeral Home on Friday from 6-8pm.
Mrs. Love, 80, of Aiken, died Wednesday at her residence. A daughter of the late W.C. and Pauline Hinson Bowers, she was born and lived in Lancaster County before moving to Aiken in 1953. She had been a member of Fork Hill Baptist Church in Heath Springs, SC.
Before retiring in 1986, she had been a clerical worker at Clearwater Finishing Division of United Merchants and Manufacturing where she worked for twenty-five years. She participated in the ?Foster Grandparent Program? at Millbrook Elementary School and also worked for the Aiken County School Food Service at J. D. Leaver Elementary School during the late 1990?s. An Atlanta Braves fan, she also loved to read and do crossword puzzles.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Derrell Bowers and her husband, Perkins Love.
Mrs. Love is survived by two sons; Tony Love, North Augusta, SC and Danny Love, Madison, AL, a daughter; Patty Bentley, Windsor, SC, two sisters; Vonnie Jenkins, Carol Neal and one brother Larry Bowers, all of Lancaster, SC. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
