Obituary of Broadus Bubba Goff

AIKEN, SC-- Broadus Goff a lifetime resident of Aiken passed away at the age of 70, at his home surrounded by his family on April 9, 2018.

Mr. Goff proudly served his country in the Vietnam War.

Mr. Goff is preceded in death by his mother and father, along with two brothers Billy and Louis.

Mr. Goff is survived by his wife Bertha Goff of 48 years, one son Broadus (Dean) Goff (Theresa) of Aiken ; ex daughter in-law Kathy Tufts of Harriman, TN; two grandchildren Harley Economu (Anthony) of Aiken, Brandy Hester of Harriman, TN; great granddaughter Ariel; two brothers David Crosby (Maribel) of Columbia, SC and Boyd Goff (Wendy) of Gastonia, NC; sister in-laws Lydia Herron Jones (Larry),  Marylou Hall, Rosalee Woodward, Connie Brooks (Daniel) all of Aiken, SC and one brother in law Jimmy (Dick) Brooks (Linda) of Phoenix, AZ,  and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

In life, Mr. Goff’s pride and joy was the birth of his great granddaughter Ariel. In his eyes she hung the moon, stars and was the sun in his eyes. Even on the worse days, she could light him up.  He loved to be outside, whether it was out at the pond fishing, or working in his yards. Most of our memories with him consisted of teaching everyone how to drive, riding everyone on his motorcycle, how to bait a hook and skin a fish, and he loved to swing with all the kids and teach them his favorite songs.

The date of the service will be Friday, April 13^th. The viewing for Mr. Goff will be held from 5pm to 6pm and the service will be held from 6pm to 7pm, at George Funeral Home in Aiken SC.

The family will receive visitors at the Goff resident on Thursday, April 12^th starting at 4 pm.
