Dear Marianne,
My deepest sympathy to you and your family on the passing of your brother, Arne.
How HAPPY I was to meet him and how HONORED I was to take him and you to Top Notch for Clive and Jill\'s bithday dinner in north Jersey this past August.
Throughout the evening I marveled at Arne\'s gifts: the twinkle of his humor, the clarity and openess of his thinking, and the warmth of his ability to acknowledge others, JUST AS THEY ARE. I had only met him a few moments when I felt right at home! And since then, I have enjoyed reflecting on his gifts. Their blessing lives on in my memory.
In addition, how helpful Arne was in May of 2003 when you called on him to aid me in my pronouciation of the Lord\'s Prayer in Danish.
Marianne, please share my feelings with your family, and let me know how I can support you.
In gratitude for your first class brother, Arne

To all who mourn Uncle Arne:
What a great man to have known! I am a recent addition to Arne\'s large family, and I was elated that he made it all the way to NJ in 2003 for my wedding. Arne was a friendly man, with a wonderful knack for making cozy blankets. I\'ll be thinking of you, Uncle Arne, every time I cuddle up to your great-nephew in the lovely blanket you made.

To Arne and family
In grateful memory of your friendship and keen interest throughout years in your Norwegian families. I have learned to know all of your family and have lots and lots of letters to remember you by. In addition to pictures from your visits here in Norway. I am also very happy to have met some of your grandchildren when they have visited Norway and that my son Harald and Arne Woolsey are keeping in touch to keep the relationship going.

I met Mr. Fliflet when I lived in Aiken and worked for Dr. Charlie Timmerman in the late 70\'s. Mr. Fliflet would always come in to the office with a smile on his face and always had a kind word to say to everyone working there.
He loved his animals and I always enjoyed talking to him about his many travels over the years. I know his family will miss him, but I know the memory of his kindness and compassion for others will always bring a smile to their faces. I\'m deeply sorry for your loss.
Sincerely,
Karen B. Abney

It was our great pleasure to be a student then be a friend of Arne. We learned a lot from him and incidentally it was only two weeks ago when he kindly forwarded a picture series of hummingbirs\'s nest as an attachment of his e-mail. He will be missed.

Arnie was a dedicated member of the Aiken Lions Club and he will be greatly Missed. Each year Arnie would hand weave a special schawl and give it to a lucky lady at the Lions Club Christmas party each year. Most women in the club had one and was excluded from winning more than one. With all the years of doing so, there is still some women that didn\'t win one , much to their sadness.
Arnie had something special and will be missed.

Arne,
I meant to call you and say the blue bird house you made for Aiken Outdoors had two families raised successfully this summer. We should do the things we think about immediately, otherwise it is too late!
The birds will enjoy your house for many years to come.
