Charles H. Bonner, born June 2, 1918, retired United States Air Force Major, died Sunday, February 9, 2003 at Select Specialty Hospital, Augusta, GA. A memorial service will be held Friday, February 14, 2003 at 3PM at St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church, Aiken, SC, with The Reverend Leon C. Mozeliak, Jr., officiating. The United States Air Force Honor Guard following the service will provide full military honors. Mr. Bonner, a native of Chicago, IL, was a retired insurance agent. He was a member of St. Augustine Episcopal Church, Augusta, GA. He was a recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross in World War II. He was a member of the Elks Club, Georgia Retired Officers Association, participating in Richmond County High School?s JROTC Awards Day, and the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution. Beloved husband of Pamela Bonner, North Augusta, SC; dear father of Jacqueline Bonner, Augusta, GA, Bonner Bossio, Atlanta, GA, Heather Raybould, North Augusta, SC, and Sam Raybould, North Augusta, SC; and fond grandfather of Katherine Miller, Matt Bossio, Atlanta, GA, Chanel Bossio, Atlanta, GA, and Amalia Raybould, North Augusta, SC. The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the home of Jacqueline Bonner, 2943 Pointe West Dr., Augusta, GA.
