A Funeral Mass for Mr. Lonnie Daugherty will be celebrated on Friday, May 20, 2011 at 11am at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the family residence from 6-8pm on Thursday, May 19, 2011. George Funeral Home & Cremation is assisting the family. Mr. Daugherty, 70, of Aiken, died Saturday, May 14, 2011 at his residence. Born in Carryville, TN, he was the son of the late Benjamin Grady Daugherty and Thelma Kellum Harrison Daugherty. He lived in Glendora, California before moving to Aiken in 1988. He was a communicant of St Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. Lonnie served his country in the Air Force, worked for Gorham Bronze as a machine operator finisher and was a plant manager with Shirmers and Sparrers Sausage Company. He enjoyed wood lathing, fishing, and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter Diane Barker, son-in-law, John Perry and brother Larry Daugherty. He is survived by his wife, Helen Hundley Daugherty, children, Karen Perry, Aiken; Brenda Wade Fulmer, Belvedere; Bradford MaryKe Daugherty, Shoreline, WA; Robyn Fonce, Aiken; Michael Theresa Daugherty, Aiken; Sean Monica Daugherty, Glendale, AZ; brother, Carroll Daugherty, grandchildren, Brandi Fulmer, Kyle Perry, Jessica Perry, Alex Perry, Amy Daugherty, Riley Fonce, Kelli Fonce, Kendal Fonce, great grandchildren, Catlyn Winberry, Charles Winberry, Emma Grace Perry.
