A Funeral Mass for Mr. Stephen Anthony Rosbach will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 5, 2009, at 1pm at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. Interment will be private. Pallbearers will be Arthur Angelos, Rick Napier, Danny Strickland, Tim Thaxton, Steve Warneke, and Mike Reynolds. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 4, 2009, from 6-8pm at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center with a wake service at 6:30pm. Mr. Rosbach, 53, of Aiken, died Friday, May 1, 2009 at his residence.
A life long resident of Aiken, he was the son of Sara Carey Rosbach and the late Philip F. Rosbach. Before working as a Database Administrator at the Medical College of GA, he worked in the same capacity for twenty- nine years at Avondale Mills in Graniteville and at the SC Department of Public Safety in Columbia. He was an avid Gamecock fan and a communicant of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. Stephen was a gentle, quiet man of quick wit, who enjoyed playing golf, cards, working in his garden, and family trips to the beach. He was known as a loving family man. He was an adoring father, devoted son, and a cherished brother and uncle.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his beloved daughter and son, Chelsea L. Rosbach and Philip F. Rosbach, III, both of Aiken; step-children, Lauren Taylor and Kristen Taylor, brothers, Philip Rachel Rosbach, Aiken; John Debra Rosbach, Sr., Aiken; Thomas Michael Elaine Rosbach, Sumter, SC; sister, Ann Marie Bill Ward, Aiken; nieces and nephews, Richard Morrison, Sarah Rosbach, Anna Conant, John Rosbach, Jr., Carey Greenauer, Jay Ward, Erin Lockhart and son Brayden, and mother of his children Patty Rosbach Owens.
