Obituary of Lindsey Coleman Hall

Lindsey Coleman (Yard Dog) Hall, 71, resident of Clarks Hill, SC, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, July 6, 2014.
A son of the late James Lindsey Hall and Estelle Martin Hall, he was born in Abbeville, SC and attended school in Aiken SC. After graduating in 1961 from Aiken High School, he joined the United States Air Force, serving proudly for over 20 years. Mr. Hall constantly pursued educational avenues, earning two separate degrees from Washburn University. He retired from the South Carolina Department of Corrections after 10 years of faithful service to his state. Mr. Hall was a proud supporter of the Wounded Warrior Project and the National Rifle Association.
Survivors include his sister; Patricia Hall Martin (Herb) of Aiken SC, a brother; Thomas Martin Hall of Beaufort, SC, two daughters; Stephanie Hall Heyman, and Sarah Hall, and his loving companion Mildred Brown of Greenwood, SC. Mr. Hall is also survived by two grandchildren; Benjamin Heyman, and Matthew Heyman, two nephews; James Evans Patience of Monetta, SC and Derek William Martin of Aiken, SC.
A celebration of life will be held at Lake Thurmond at the Dorn Boat Landing, 272 Chamberlain Rd., McCormick SC on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at 2:00 PM. Dress will be casual and lunch provided.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300 Jacksonville FL, 32256 or charity of your choice.
