I was so sorry to hear about the death of Tucker Davis. It seems so unfair that death should have the power to take away someone you love. And when it happens, the thought of never again being able to talk to, laugh with, or hold your loved one can be most difficult to bear. And all the good things people say do not take that pain away. When I lost my mother to Cancer, it was very devastating to me. What comforted me are the words found in the Bible for the future at Revelation 21:3, 4 and Isaiah 33:24 about our dear loved ones. May that also bring you comfort.
Deepest Sympathy,
Ms. Floyd

Dear Brenda and family,
We are sad that we no longer have our very good friend, Marvin, here with us. Marvin was such an easy-going person, with a smile on his face, and always willing to lend a helpful hand to anyone in need. Marvin loved his family very much and showed this with everything he did. We have some fond memories of Marvin shopping with the "girls" during the holidays...and when we all were working on Derik and JJ\'s house. We had lots of laughs, which has made for some good memories we will cherish. We will never forget Marvin and his good and kind ways. Marvin certainly left a legacy for his children and us allin character, kindness and thoughtfulness. We will always remember this special person that came into our lives, and became part of our family.
Love you all,
Rodney and Helen

JJ,
I remember so vividly when I talked to your dad about fishing at Clarks Hill. I asked him why he didn\'t fish there much and he explained that he just couldn\'t catch many fish in the big lake. He told me that the most bass he had caught at any one time was three. I told him that he was with me and we were going to change that. I then told him that he, Derik and David should follow along behind me and I would show them how to do it. I kept thinking that I was going to look real stupid if I couldn\'t put him on some fish! We looked like three little ducks in a pond, with your dad and Derik following along behind me in their boats. When we arrived at one of my favorite spots, at the island in Benningfield Creek, I looked behind me, straight at your dad and said pay close attention, I\'m going to show how to catch some good bass, and laughed!..I couldn\'t have written a better script. I made a cast to where I knew there was a submerged stump field, twitched the old plastic worm twice and set the hook on a 5 1/2 pound bass. The look on your dad\'s face was priceless. I knew, what he didn\'t, that that was one of the luckiest casts I had ever made!!! I acted as if it was merely routine and never told him it was just luck. However, he thought I knew what I was doing and copied my method the rest of the day. He caught a livewell full of big bass and he was very happy about that. He was no more thrilled than I was, however. It was just a pleasure that he then knew that he could go to the big lake and catch bass. From that time, we had several good trips to the lake. I\'m surely going to miss his smile, the way he enjoyed life, and especially the special friendship that we had developed. Much love to you and your entire family.

Dear Brenda and girls: I am truly sorry for the loss that you are experiencing. I only knew Marvin for a short time, but I found out firs hand what a kind, loving, considerate person he was. I used to call him "My Marvin" because he would always hug me when I saw him and just made me feel like I had known him for years when I was around him. Marvin also made an impression on Mark. Whenever the firm had an outing Mark would say that he would only go if Marvin was going as well.
I know each of you already know what a special person Marvin was, but there are also people like Mark and I that was left with a small piece of Marvin touching our lives as well. Please know that if there is anything that Mark or I can do for any of you - please call and let us know.
Love you.

Although I never knew Mr. Davis, he must have been a very special husband and father. Throughout his ordeal, his family stayed by his side and supported him with their love as they supported each other. To model this kind of love and commitment is the greatest gift that a parent can give his/her child. Marvin and Brenda provided this model of love and commitment to their children, their extended family, their friends and their co-workers.

I\'LL ALWAYS REMEMBER TUCKER. HE HAD NOTHING BUT A SMILE AND A FRIENDLY GESTURE FOR EVERYONE HE MET. I REMEMBER THE DAY AS IF IT WERE YESTERDAY WHEN HE BOUGHT THAT BRIGHT RED 64 FORD. BUBBA AND MYSELF MUST HAVE BEEN ABOUT 9 OR 10 YEARS OLD. WE THOUGHT THAT WAS THE PRETTIEST THING IN THE WHOLE WORLD. TUCKER NEVER TURNED US DOWN IF WE NEEDED A RIDE SOMEWHERE.
MY HEART GOES OUT TO BRENDA AND THE FAMILY. HE WAS A SPECIAL PERSON I\'LL ALWAYS REMEMBER.
YOUR FRIEND FOREVER
