Mrs. H. Audrey Adis-Miller, 74, of Aiken, SC, formerly of West Paterson, NJ, died Friday, February 17, 2006 at her home. Born in Paterson, New Jersey, Mrs. Adis-Miller resided in Hawthorne, NJ until 1952 when she moved to West Paterson and then moved to Aiken, SC six years ago. She was a self employed Tax Preparer-Consultant from 1961-2005. Previously, she and her first husband, George Adis, operated George?s Confectionary Store in Paterson, NJ. Mrs. Adis-Miller was a member of Calvary Gospel Church of Wayne, NJ and Lighthouse Baptist Church of Aiken, SC. She was the Chairperson of the Mission Committee and Past Choir Director of Calvary Gospel Church. Mrs. Adis-Miller was a former member of the West Paterson First Aid Squad. Her first husband, George Adis, predeceased her in 1995. Survivors include: her husband, Rufus R. Miller; her two sons, George Michael Adis and his wife, Nancy of West Paterson and John Stephen Adis and his wife, Helen of Toms River, NJ; her two daughters, Lorraine Rega and her husband, Thomas of Aiken, SC and Tessie Miller of Lodi, NJ; her three grandchildren, Stephanie Michele Swearingen and her husband, Michael David Swearingen, Natalie Adis, Michael Andrew Adis and her great grandson, Michael David Swearingen, II. Funeral Services will be 10:30 am Thursday at Bizub-Parker Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Little Falls. Interment to follow at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa.
