My fondest memories are.....after my Mother died, when I was 12, it was a horrible time. Then, Dad married Mary Lou; and, we sold our house in Omaha, NE and went to live in McCook, NE. It was fearful; however, because Mary Lou was a beloved school teacher in the school where we were enrolled, Janet and I instantly had a whole group of friends who embraced us and invited us everywhere, and would not take "No" for an answer. Mary Lou's Sister, Kathy, and her brothers, Jimmy and Charles, instantly accepted us and were so very kind to us at that very hard time in our lives. Those are my first and fondest memories at a time that should have been excruciatingly hard. Our hearts and prayers are with you, David and Laurie, our beloved Brother and Sister.
