Don and I met at USC-Aiken several years ago we were both students there. Despite a significant age difference between us, we became fast friends. I always found Don very charming, warm, full-of-life and energy...he had a heart of gold. We shared a passion for travel, ideas and music many would consider old-fashioned, and fun memories I will always treasure. Whenever I felt depressed, he reminded me of a vast world and opportunities that awaited me far beyond my hometown. I dedicate much of my success to Don, especially my sense of adventure and the need to take a chance on life, people, and investments. Don Sumner was a one-in-a-million person and a dear friend who will truly be missed. God broke the mold with Don and though he will be missed here on earth, I'm confident many souls in heaven are very happy to see him again. Farewell, my old friend!
