AIKEN, SC- SHIRLEY McBEATH ANDERSON, 78, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Shadow Oaks. Born September 2, 1936 in Phil, KY, Mrs. Anderson was a daughter of the late Elbert and Ida Fern Snapp McBeath. She had made the CSRA her home since 1950 and was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection. Mrs. Anderson worked for many years as a Travel Agent in the Aiken and Augusta area for Southern Travel Agency and AAA. She owned and operated Ticket to Travel in "the Alley" Downtown, Aiken, SC. Mrs. Anderson loved animals, enjoyed painting, gardening, and travel. Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie D. Anderson, Sr.; two sisters, Betty Richardson and Barbara McBeath; five brothers, Jim, Don, David, Fred, and Carl McBeath. Survivors include a daughter, Lynn (Mike) Ziemba, Douglasville, GA; a son, Andy (Angie) Anderson, Jackson, SC; four grandchildren, Allison (John) Nestor, Casey (Kelly) Anderson, Drew Ziemba, and Andrea Ziemba; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Phillip (Barbara) McBeath, North Augusta, SC; and a sister-in-law, Ilene McBeath. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Friday, January 23, 2015 at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 825 Greene St., Augusta, GA 30901. Pastor David B. Hunter officiating.
