AIKEN, SC- Mr. Daryl Brickman at rest Wednesday, January 20, 2016. Daryl was the husband of Diane Brickman and the proud father of Randy Brickman and his wife Bonnie of Deerfield, Illinois and Marc Brickman and his wife Maureen of Aiken, South Carolina. He was the loving grandfather of three, Justin, Dustin and Jordan. Dee, as he was known, was a quiet man and let his wife of 55 years do all the talking. He was fond of poker, bowling and golf and came to love Aiken and his beautiful view of the 13th hole. Dee was a great supporter of his sons and grandsons sporting events. He made every wrestling match and often "coached" from the sidelines. Monday nights were always his favorite, as he had a standing poker game for 35 years. In the early years, Dee was an electrical engineer for Bell and Howell developing movie projectors. Later on he joined the family business, Brickman Brokerage, and drove the "pepper mobile" for many years. Daryl loved taking pictures of his grandson, always having a camera around his neck, not to miss a moment of his activities. When Justin was young he took him every Halloween to the pumpkin farm and always came back with a video of the day. A memorial celebration will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 22, 2016 at Woodside Country Club, Aiken, South Carolina. Dee was an avid fundraiser for City of Hope, running many a "Vegas Night."
