Graveside services for Mrs. Dorothy ?Dotty? Harris Foreman will be held Friday, August 12, 2005 at 11 AM in Bethany Cemetery, Aiken, SC with Rev. Dr. Fred W. Andrea, III officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, August 11, 2005 from 6 until 8 PM at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC. Mrs. Foreman, 83, of Aiken, SC, died Tuesday, morning, August 9, 2005 at her home. Daughter of the late Charles Joseph and Margaret Goodwin Harris, she met and married Arthur Foreman who was stationed in her hometown of Memphis during World War II. They moved back to his hometown of Ellenton and subsequently to Aiken in 1952. Dotty was an avid bridge player, gained the title Life Master, enjoyed tennis and was a member of Houndslake Country Club. She is survived by daughters, Margaret Foreman, Aiken, SC and Dorothy Foreman Hall, Walter McLean, VA; and grandchildren, Margaret Elizabeth and Nelson Foreman Hall, McLean, VA. In addition to her parents, her husband, Arthur Ashley Foreman, Jr, preceded her in death.
