Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth Seigler Brown, 77, of Aiken, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 17, 2016 at the Chapel of GEORGE FUNERAL HOME. Officiating will be Rev. Roy Head and Rev. Brad Willis. Burial will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210. Mrs. Brown, widow of John C. Brown, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2016. Born in Aiken, she was a daughter of the late James and Lizzie Snipes Seigler. She was a lifetime area resident and attended both Clearwater Branch Baptist Church and Redds Branch Baptist Church. Surviving are her daughters, Julie Cude (Clint) of W. Columbia and Jennifer Brown of Aiken; a son, Terry D. Brown of Aiken; a grandson, Jay Boulware of Aiken and a brother, John C. Seigler of Aiken. Mary enjoyed camping in the North Carolina Mountains and caring for and spending time with her beloved grandson, Jay. During the last two years of her life, Mary was cared for by her devoted daughter, Jennifer and her son, Terry. Her sweet smile will be missed by all.
