Funeral services for Mr. Edmund Albert Rupprecht will be held Saturday, October 22, 2005 at 10 AM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Aiken, SC, with Pastor Gerald Reiter officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 until 8 PM at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC. Mr. Rupprecht, 74, of Aiken, SC, died Wednesday, morning, October 19, 2005 at University Hospital, Augusta, GA. Born in Belvidere, IL, he was a son of the late Albert John and Dorothy Wolf Rupprecht. A Korean War veteran, Edmund proudly served his country in the United States Army. Following his discharge from the Army, he became a Police Officer for the Cleveland Police Department and retired in 1982 after twenty-six years of service from the Accident Investigation Unit. He came to Aiken, SC, in 1983 from Parma, OH, where he became a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and worked for a time at Lowe?s Home Improvement Warehouse He is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Joan Hodel Rupprecht, son, Robert ?Rob? John Rupprecht, Aiken, SC; daughters, Deborah Marie D?Alessio, Jeffrey Walkersville, MD and Sandra Ann Jackson, Cleveland, OH; brother, Albert John Rupprecht, Parma, OH; and grandchildren, Joshua and Courtney Jackson, Mark Anthony Heinemeyer, and Carina and Briana D?Alessio. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
