Funeral services for Mr. William R. ?Bill? Siddall will be held Thursday, January 12, 2006, at 11 AM, at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC, with Pastor Martha Ebel officiating. Interment with military honors accorded will follow in the veterans section of Southlawn Cemetery, Aiken, SC. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10 AM until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Siddall, 86, of Aiken, SC, died Sunday, night, January 8, 2006 at his home. Born in Indianapolis, IN, he proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II where he obtained the rank technician, fifth grade. He retired from the United States Postal service in 1984 after thirty-two years of service as a Letter Carrier. Mr. Siddall and his wife, Mrs. Billie VanDeVeer Siddall had lived in Miami, FL for many years where they were members of Riverside Baptist Church prior to coming to Aiken in July of 2004. He enjoyed working crossword puzzles and working with wood. He is survived by his wife of forty-eight years, Mrs. Billie V. Siddall; son, Alvin Siddall; and grandchildren, Dedrick and Robena Robyn Siddall. The family has requested that memorials be made to The First Presbyterian Church, 224 Barnwell Ave., NW, Aiken, SC 29801.
