Shirley was certainly a great lady with an remarkable spirit. It was a real privilege to know her. We especially enjoyed our time together in Maine. Her gracious and optimism throughout her life were an inspiration. Her salons on the sun porch were a great joy for all those lucky enough to have and be her audience.

I am so saddened by the news of Mrs. Wetzel's passing. I worked in the pharmacy at Publix where I first met her. She always came in with a beautiful smile and always inquired about my sons. She was caring and loving. The Flippen family sends their condolences and prayers to your family.
