Funeral services for Mrs. Purnell Nancy Cushman Widner will be held Saturday, June 4, 2005 at 3 PM at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC, with Pastor Benny Burton and Pastor George Still officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery, Windsor, SC. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2PM until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. Widner, 85, of Gloverville, SC, died Thursday, morning, June 2, 2005 at her home. Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Elyze and Lessie Bell Cushman Black. She retired from King Mill in Augusta, GA where she was Battery Filler in the weave room. Mrs. Widner was a faithful member of Langley Church of God and prior to her health failing she was very active. She is survived by her daughters, Belle Vaughan, Cedartown, GA, Mary Corley, Gloverville, SC and Janie Ruth Scott, Blackville, SC; sisters, Ruby Hill, Mulga, AL and Shirley Maldonado, Augusta, GA; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A daughter, Frances Lucille Cushman, preceded her in death. Memorials may be made to Langley Church of God, P.O. Box 797, Langley, SC 29834
