Dear Marsha, Roger and Chad, It is 10:45 P.M. I just learned of Jim's departure from this earth. This was a real shock to me. He and I have been close friends down through the years. We shared many serious, happy and sad moments together. I had no idea he was this close to leaving us. I have many stories I could share about Jim and Mary and our visits. He use to fly up to Anderson on Sunday morning to worship with us at First Presbyterian. He took me deer hunting, dove hunting and deep sea fishing. He was in the hospital a number of times when I was in Aiken. God gave him a long life even with his illness from time to time. He will always be in my memory, along with Mary, Aunt Callie and all the Gilliam family. Please know of our prayers for you and the family.
