Mrs. Mary Jeanne Wiesen-Kosinski, 88, widow of Leonard Vincent Kosinski, and a resident of Aiken South Carolina passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2014. A Daughter of the late Charles Peter Wiesen and Irene Clare Bebeau, she was originally from Duluth Minnesota and moved to Aiken in 1968. Mrs. Kosinski graduated from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth in 1946. She was recognized as the youngest person to have graduated from the college at that time. Shortly after graduation, she took a position as a teacher in the Canal Zone of Panama City, Panama. After leaving Panama, Mrs. Kosinski enrolled at the University of La Salle Law School, earning her Juris Doctorate in the early 1950's. She practiced in many areas of law before retiring in 1998. She was an active member of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, as well as a member of the Polish American Heritage Association. Survivors include her sister, Elizabeth Anne Rastello, of Farmington Hills, MI, and a nieces: Kathryn Rastello-Carstens (William) of Kaukauna, WI, Nanci Burnham of Farmington Hills MI. and nephews; William Rastello (Lisa) of Chicago IL, and James Rastello of Royal Oak MI. Mrs. Kosinski was predeceased by a baby brother, Charles Wiesen. The family would like to thank Mr. Tom Nix, Mrs. Sandy Hayes, and Mrs. Lynne Fouth for their care and support to the family .
