Obituary of Andrea Lee Rountree

AIKEN, SC-- Andrea Lee "Andi" Rountree, 68, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 2, 2018.  She was predeceased by her Mother, Peggy Tharp Klinger, her Sister, La Vida Fay Ashley, and her two terrier mutts, Sissie and Sassie. She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Derwood "Dudy" Rountree, two sons, Christopher Wiggins (Sue), and Sonny JR Wiggins (Amy), five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and twelve close and long-time friends: Linda Beeler, Anne Bradley, Margie Cornatzer, Barbara Dallas, Estelle Godfrey, Mary Prescott, Paige Prescott, Theresia Sabin, Autumn Tinnel, Lynn Haislip and Katie Hines and Marilyn Woody.

 

Andi was a Christian, and a member of Unity Church in Norfolk, VA. She was a kind and caring and gentle soul, and possessed a wonderful sense of humor. All who had the pleasure of knowing her thought the world of her, and vice versa. She was a true joy on earth.

 

Arrangements for cremation will be handled by George Funeral Home in Aiken, SC. Services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to your local Salvation Army or your local ASPCA.
