A memorial service for Mrs. Geraldine E. Vileno will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 a 1 pm at St Thaddeus Episcopal Church Chapel of the Holy Apostles, Aiken. Interment will be private. George Funeral Home & Cremation Center is assisting the family. Mrs. Vileno, 91, of Aiken, died Monday, February 8, 2010 at her home. Born in Springfield, MA she was the daughter of the late John "Mac" and Johanna Barton McFarland. She lived in Marietta, OH and in various cities in Florida before moving to Aiken in 1995. She helped her parents at the Wakefield Hotel in Marietta, OH while growing up. She volunteered in the Women's Auxiliary at Aiken Regional Medical Center. She enjoyed antiquing, swimming, diving, growing roses and traveling. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Frank L. Vileno, Sr., brother, John Milford McFarland, III, and sister, Julia Carey. She is survived by her children, Jeanne Richard Egan, Alpharetta, GA; Marilyn Dr. Francis Hamilton, Wilton, CT; Frank L. Vileno, Jr., Stewart, FL; Paul Melody W. Vileno, St. Pete Beach, FL; Jim Vileno, Haines City, FL; Nancy Thomas, III Conner, Atlanta, GA. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
