Rose Marshall posted a condolence
Sunday, September 24, 2023
Hi son,
It’s been 18 years since you left us. Logan is quite a man. He looks like a mountain man and lives in Maryland. A yankee, can you believe that. I know you have seen Papa as he left us 7 months ago. Today we are laying your second cousin, Phyllis to rest. Make her welcome in heaven. She arrived a few weeks ago. I am glad she will feel no more pain. Still miss you and especially wish you had lived to give me a couple of grandkids. Logan does not want any children so my dream of being a grandmother will never happen. Hope to see you soon as I have nothing much ho keep me in this old evil world. I still love you to the moon and back. Mom

To my so now gone 10 years. It seems like only yesterday I laid you to rest. I still think of you every day. You were a very special person and I only wish I had realized it then as I do now. You were so selfless and gentle that you made the world a better place. I hope you are allowed to reach out to us once in a while. Logan really needs you right now. He is goiñg through rough waters. If you can steer him to safe and peaceful waters. For me, my prayer is always the same: Watsh out for Logan and send me a sign that you are still there watching over me too. I love you to the moon and back, Mom

Hi Son,
It has been almost three years and I miss you more than ever. I suspect you would have been getting married about now and starting a family. I imagine your excitement and exasperation at the whole process. Nothing in our world ever prepared us for your loss. You were the glue for our family, our Lab joke between me and Logan, and we miss you greaty. You would be proud of your bother. He has become quite a man as you know. Please keep him under your watchful eye and let me know you still think about us once in while while riding that big bike on the highways in heaven.

I can\'t imagine how difficult this time must be for you. Although I didn\'t know Will well, it was apparent to me that he was a sweet and courteous young man. I know that you both loved Will and will miss him terribly. I am so sorry. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.

I am so sorry that you have suffered the loss of one of your boys. I pray that you will somehow know the peace that can only come from the Father. There are no suitable words for me to say to you. Only know that you, Logan, Penny, and the rest of your family are in my thoughts and in my heart. Please take care of yourself and I am always here if you need me. Remember what Jesus told His disciples when they were on the boat and the storm came up: "Don\'t be afraid, It is I". Don\'t be afraid Rose, He is right here with you.

I am so sorry about what happened. I have known Mrs. Marshall since she was my principal in elementary school. I am now in college. I met Logan in middle school. I met Will in high school. He was always dedicated to everything he did. He loved cars, helping people, and smiling. It\'s so hard to think we will never again see his beautiful smile or hear his great laugh. All we can say is that he is in Heaven now because of what a wonderful person he turned out to be!!He touched everyone\'s heart who he met. He will be forever missed; although, as happy as he was, I can\'t help thinking he would want us to try to be happy also. So through my tears, I tell myself everything will be ok once the shock goes away. He will remain in my memories forever. His family and friends will remain in my prayers. With God\'s help, this will get easier with time! May God bless you all.

I can\'t tell you how shocked I was to hear this tragic news announced during church Sunday morning. My heartfelt sympathy and prayers go out to you Mrs. Marshall, Logan and all of your family. I saw Will many times last year when he worked in the afternoon at the high school. He was always so polite and respectful, always working diligently and always had a smile. You all will be in my prayers as you go through this sorrowful time.

Dear Marshall family, we were friends of Nancy Hooker when we were growing up. We did not know Will but our hearts are aching for his family. We lost our 40 year old son on Nov. 13, \'04 to lymphoma. When we lose the ones we love it\'s as if we lose a part of ourselves. We have wondered if the sorrow will ever lift. Gradually we are dealing with it better and trust in the Lord that there was a reason. We just wanted you to know that we share your sorrow. God bless you, Buck and Shirley Golding

Rose,
I just can\'t express to you how sad that I am for you and your family. I\'ve known Will since he was in 3rd and I don\'t think that I\'ve ever heard him express an ugly thought and that takes a big man. You raised him well, the short time that you had him and he loved you and his family so much. My hearts hurts for you. Love, Kim
