NORTH AUGUSTA, SC- Jacqueline Carlyon Eisenhart Griffith, age 87, passed away Monday, May 25, 2015.
Born January 4, 1928 in Watsonville, California, she was a daughter of the late John Merton and Naomi Hartman Carlyon. Mrs. Griffith worked for E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Co. as an Executive Secretary, retiring in 1983. She retired to Hilton Head Island, SC and moved to Aiken in 2001. While in Aiken Mrs. Griffith was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. In 2006, she and her husband, Robert, made Woodlawn Lane in North Augusta their home and became members of Fairview Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Griffith was a life member of the Blue Lodge of the Scottish Rite.
Survivors include two daughters, Robin Lisa Hyde (Monty), North Augusta, SC and Dana Lynne Campbell (Doug), Chico, CA and eight grandchildren, four of which live locally: Jeremy, Zachary (Amelia), Skyler, and Brycen Hyde; a step-daughter, Bev Bowman, Aurora, CO; and a step-son, Barry Griffith (Judy), Salinas, CA.
Mrs. Griffith was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Eisenhart and her second husband, Robert T. Griffith in 2009 and her brother, Teddy Carlyon.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, May 29, 2015 at Fairview Presbyterian Church. The Reverend Robert F. Fuller, Jr. officiating. Private interment will be in Pineview Memorial Gardens. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Ladies Sunday School Class.
The family will receive friends beginning at 12:30 until the hour of service on Friday in the Fellowship Hall of the church.
