WAGENER, SC - Gilda R. Holland, age 89, entered into rest on Wednesday, August 3, 2016. Mrs. Holland was born November 8, 1926 in Richburg, SC to the late Giliam and Ivey H. Robinson. She was honored to be part of the first graduating class of MUSC's Public Health in Nursing. She spent her career working for DuPont and later with the Georgia Department of Veteran Affairs. Mrs. Holland was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church where she enjoyed teaching the Fellowship Sunday School Class. She will be remembered for her love for the Lord and her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George E. Holland, Sr. and a son, George E. Holland, Jr. Survivors include a daughter, Ginna H. Anderson (James), West Chester, PA; two sons, Wells Holland and Alex Holland (Dina), all of Aiken, SC; eight grandchildren, Ashton Mundy (Matt), James Anderson, Jr., Elizabeth Anderson, Isabelle Holland, Isaiah Holland, Elena Holland, Emily Holland, Alexandria Holland; and one great-grandchild, Holmes Mundy. A graveside committal service will be held Friday, August 5, 2016 at 3:00 PM in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Dr. John Stapleton will officiate.
