Mrs. Christine Thompson Kimball, 83, wife of the late George G. Kimball, died Monday, June 7, 2004 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Funeral services will be held 10AM, Thursday, June 10, 2004 at Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Kirk officiating. Internment: Aiken Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held tonight 6-8 at the funeral home. Mrs. Kimball was born in Shady Dale, GA to the late Tommy and Gladys Spears Thompson, and also preceded in death by her brother, Pete Thompson, and sister, Elizabeth Buff. Sixty years ago Mrs. Kimball moved to Aiken from Shady Dale, GA. She and her husband were the owners of Kimball?s Plumbing Heating and Electrical. She was a charter member of Memorial Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school, was a member of the choir and the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. Mrs. Kimball was a member of the Star Craft Camping Association. Survivors include her sons, George Danny Kimball, Aiken, and Wayne Thomas Kimball, Aiken, sisters, Lucille Sims, Aiken and Ethel Wood, Shady Dale, GA, seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Memorial may be made to Memorial Baptist Church, 3100 Vaucluse Rd., Aiken, SC 29801.
