I am so sorry to hear about your loss of Shirley. I always liked her so much. She was a couple of years older than me, and when we were at Aiken Jr High I think she was the tallest girl in the school and I was the shortest. We had gym together; me in the 7th grade and Shirley in the 9th. For whatever reason, our gym teacher used to put me guarding Shirley during basketball scrimmages. I came up to her waist. Once we even got partnered up to race each other on that side road outside the gym. Shirley ran slow so I wouldn't be so embarrassed. Shirley was a beautiful person, inside and out and will always remain one of my favorite people. Keeping you all in my prayers.
