I am so very sorry this has happened to you and I wish I could take all the sadness away but your father is in such a better place with God now forever. He will always watch over his wife and children and grandchildren. I know how hard it is for you because he is not right here for you to see and talk to but you will always know he is with you. I remember him very well and will never be able to forget him. Your family is in my prayers. and I pray daily that God will wipe away the tears and heal you in your time of suffering. Dear Kathy, Gladys, and family... I was heartbroken to hear this news, but then couldn't help but smile as I read his obituary! What a wonderful life and I'm so grateful for the privilege of meeting and getting to know him when he and Gladys would visit Kathy here in Sugar Land. To Walter's family. First - a great obituary in the paper today. I did not know that he had died. The pics are great and the obit a celebration of his life!. Mrs. Schumacher - i have been blessed to know you and Walter. It was my priviledge to have him a as a patient. Every day I saw Walter was a great day for me - I believe I Walter gave more to me than he received, which made him the person that he was. I will miss him dearly. I wish him God speed, and peace and love to you and your precious family.

In the dictionary under the definition of the word gentleman there is a picture of Walter. We had the pleasure of knowing and working with him for a number of years at Riegel and enjoyed every moment. Our thoughts, always joyous and prayers are with him and the family during this time.

Walter was always fun whenever we were with him and Gladys. Walter fixed a vodka martini for me at "cocktail hour" when we shared a rental house in Florida for James' Baptism. That was the first time I had a vodka martini. Loved visiting with him that night. God bless and God speed, dear Walter.
