Funeral Services for Hazel Allen Cook will be held Monday at 1pm at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Ridge Spring, with Rev. Charles H. Yoho officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be this evening from 6-8pm at George Funeral Homes Historic Downtown Chapel 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken. Memorial donations should be directed to the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Building Fund 164 Mt. Pleasant Rd. Ridge Spring, SC 29129. Mrs. Cook, 72, of Aiken, died Friday November 12, 2004 at her residence. A daughter of the late Walter and Mildred Massey Allen, she was born in Kemper County, MS and had lived in Mobile, AL before moving to Aiken thirty-seven years ago. She had been a Finance Clerk at Fort Gordon for over twenty years and retired as a supervisor in 1987. Mrs. Cook was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jack Cook Sr., Aiken, two sons; Jack Cook, Jr., Aiken and Terry Linda Cook, Warrenville, three brothers; William Allen, Beech Island, Raymond Jean Allen, Beaufort, SC and Leonard Allen, Windsor, SC, a sister; Sue Don Smith, Lexington, SC, a brother in law; Gaines White, Jackson, MS and a sister in law; Doris Allen, Belvedere, SC. Mrs. Cook is also survived by five grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and one great, great-granddaughter.
