Funeral services for Mr. Jerry G.Walters will be held Friday, February 13, 2004 at 1 PM at St. Paul United Methodist Church, New Ellenton, SC, with Pastor Randy Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens, Aiken, SC. Pallbearers will be Eric, William, and Frankie Maddox, Brandon and Justin Walters, Harold Craig, William Streett, and Larry Layne. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 12, 2004 from 6 until 8 PM at George Funeral Homes, Southside Chapel, 3175 Whiskey Rd., Aiken, SC. Jerry, 31, of Williston, SC, husband of Mrs. Nancy Pinson Walters, died Tuesday, morning, February 10, 2004 at his home. Born in Ft. Gordon, GA, son of Betty Smith Walters, New Ellenton, SC and the late Hobert V. Walters, he had been a resident of New Ellenton, SC, until relocating to Williston, SC, two years ago. He was a graduate of Silver Bluff High School, attended St. Paul United Methodist Church and enjoyed hunting. In addition to his wife, Nancy and his mother, Betty, Jerry is survived by his children, which were his life, Holley Lauren Walters and Jason Lee Walters, of the home, step-son, Stephen Swanson, Lackland, A.F.B., San Antonio, TX; brother, Buddy B. and his wife Sherry Walters, Aiken, SC; sister, Ann Streett, New Ellenton, SC; and nieces and nephews, James and Kristin White, Brandon and Justin Walters, and William Streett. The family has asked that memorials in memory of Jerry be made to Nancy Pinson Walters, c/o Children?s Education Fund, 785 N. Windsor Rd., Williston, SC 29853.
