Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Faulkner Williams will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at 11am at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken, with Rev. Dr. W. C. Lowe officiating. Interment will follow at Aiken Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 am until the time of the funeral. Memorial donations may be directed to Alzheimer?s research. Mrs. Williams, 88, of Irmo, died Sunday July 2, 2006 at Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia. A daughter of the late John and Annie Carpenter Faulkner, she was born in Graniteville, SC and had lived in Aiken before moving to Irmo in 1994 where she lived with her son, James F. ?Jim? Williams who cared for her. She was a homemaker and a member of Memorial Baptist Church, Aiken. In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by her husband, David. H. Williams. Mrs. Williams is survived by three sons, James F. ?Jim? Williams, Irmo, SC, Wayne A. Williams, Irmo and George D. Williams, North Carolina, and a sister; Helen Williams, N. Augusta, SC. She is also survived by four grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
