Funeral services for Mr. Clyde Edward Wilson will be private under the direction of George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC. Mr. Wilson, 59, of Aiken, SC, died suddenly Monday, afternoon, February 7, 2005 at his home. Born in Newberry, SC, a son of the late Tony W. and Gladys Bush Wilson, he had been a resident of Aiken, SC for most of his life and was a Truck Driver prior to his health declining. Mr. Wilson was very active in the Sons of Confederate Veterans and also enjoyed running trotlines with his son Chris at Santee. A Vietnam Veteran, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He is survived by his son, Chris Wilson, New Ellenton, SC; sister, Ella Jean Catlett, Aiken, SC; and brothers, James R. and Bruce Arnold Wilson, both of Aiken, SC. Memorials may be made to Brigadier General Milledge L. Bonham Sons of Confederate Veterans Camp #48, Old Pine Grove Schoolhouse, Hwy. 39 Saluda, SC 29138
