Funeral services for Mr. Gerald Fulmer will be held Monday, August 14, 2006 at 11am at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Avenue, SW, Aiken, with Chaplin Dexter Lambert officiating. Interment will follow at Aiken Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Russell Fulmer, Dewayne Fulmer, Allen Fulmer, Billy Carver, Carl Burnett, and Wes Watts. Visitation will be 6-8pm Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Joseph Hospice, 681 Silver Bluff Rd, Aiken, SC, 29803 or to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 West Fair Road, Greenville, SC 29065.
Mr. Fulmer, 80, of Aiken, died Thursday, August 10, 2006 at his residence.
A son of the late Frank and Ruby Thornton Fulmer, he was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, a member of the Masonic Lodge in Warrenville, Aiken Shrine Club, New Holland Baptist Church, and Foxtown Buck Club. He proudly served his country in the Army during World War II. He was employed by the Graniteville Company and retiree of E.I. Dupont Savannah River Site. He was also self employed for many years.
In addition to his parents Mr. Fulmer was predeceased by a son Roger Quattlebaum. He is survived by his wife Julia Waters Fulmer; daughters, Imogene Jowers, Aiken, Judy Gerald ?Jerry? Storey, New Holland; brothers Leroy ?Peter? Mattie Lou Fulmer, Leesville, Robert ?Bill? Dale Fulmer, Wagener; sisters Mildred Dewey Carver, New Holland, Louise Charlie Stone, North Augusta; grandchildren, Keith Storey, Tina Watts, Renee Jowers, Kim Burkett, Hugh Quattlebaum, Steven George, and five great grandchildren.
