Funeral services for Mr. Clifford ?Cliff? Milton Pinson, Jr. will be held Tuesday, April 29, 2003 at 1 PM at St. Paul United Methodist Church, New Ellenton, SC, with Pastor Randy Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens, Graniteville, SC. The family will receive friends Monday, April 28, 2003 from 6-8 PM at George Funeral Homes, Southside Chapel, 3175 Whiskey Rd., Aiken, SC. Mr. Pinson, 78, of New Ellenton, SC, husband of the late Betty Kelsey Pinson, died Saturday, afternoon, April 26, 2003 at the residence of his daughter.
Born in Abbeville, SC and a resident of Aiken County, SC, since 1951, he was a son of the late Clifford Milton Pinson, Sr. and the late Daisy Idelia Etheridge Pinson. A United States Army Veteran, he proudly served his country during World War II and also served in the reserves for an additional nineteen years. He retired from E.I. DuPont with over thirty-five years of service. Mr. Pinson was an avid bowler, lifetime member of V.F.W., and was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.
Daughters, Nancy Pinson Walters, Williston, SC and Sally Howell White, Edgefield, SC; sons, George Perry Pinson, Hodges, SC and Thomas William Howell, Johnson City, TN; brother, William Rayford Pinson, Greenwood, SC; and grandchildren, Karen Pinson, James Joseph White, Stephen Swanson, Kristin White, Holley Walters, Jason Walters, and India Howell, survive. In addition to his wife and parents, a son, Terry Dale Pinson, daughter, Karen Pinson, and grandson, Harold Pinson, preceded him in death.
The family has requested that memorials in memory of Mr. Pinson be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Drawer K., Aiken, SC 29802.
