Charles ?Nabor? Winburn, 72 husband of Margaret Locklear Winburn, died Thursday, January 15, 2004 at his residence. Graveside Services will be held 2PM Saturday, January 17 , 2003 at Southlawn Cemetery, Aiken, SC, with Rev. Julian Bowles officiating. Visitation will be held tonight from 6-8 at the George Funeral Homes, Southside Chapel. Pallbearers will be Bobby Martin, Cliff Hall, Robert Peake, Marshall Redd, Philp Proctor, and Curtis Locklear.
Mr. Winburn was born in Hartsville, SC to the late Allen and Minnie Johnson Winburn. He is also predeceased by a son, Victor Winburn, sisters, Beulah Revell, Marie Winburn and Nezzie Barrett. He served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict in he 82nd Air Born, retired from Owens Corning after 20 years of service and from 1970 to present as owner of Supply Service Co.
Survivors include his wife, sons; Tony Winburn, Aiken, Eddie Winburn, Couchton, Jay Winburn, Aiken, daughter, Susan Ekononakis, Aiken, sisters, Bessie Braddock, Hartsville, SC, Rosene Lyles, Hartsville, SC, Betty Jean Williams, Pro, Utah, brothers, Kenneth Winburn, Hartsville, SC, Cecil Winburn, Hartsville, SC, ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
