A memorial service for Mrs. Nancy Ann Bromley Meyrick will be held Thursday, April 1, 2004 at 3 PM at George Funeral Homes, Southside Chapel, 3175 Whiskey Rd., Aiken, SC, with Reverend Dr. W.C. Lowe officiating. The family will greet friends following the memorial service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Meyrick, 61, of Warrenville, SC, wife of the late John T. ?Gomer? Meyrick, died Saturday, morning, March 27, 2004 at her home.
Born in Titusville, PA, a daughter of the late Norman and Gladys Metcalf Bromley, she retired from Six Flags as a Food Service worker. A resident of Warrenville, SC, since 2002, she had formerly lived in Centerville, PA. She was a Baptist and was a member of the American Legion Post # 455. Mrs. Meyrick was an avid Bingo Player and she also loved collecting angels and bells.
Daughters, Patricia Ann Stewart, Titusville, PA and Ruth Catherine and her husband, Robert Proper, Warrenville, SC; step-daughters, Carol Madden and Cathy Stone, both of OR; sister and her spouse, Barbara and Jake Antill, Warrenville, SC; brothers and their spouses, Rick and Cathy Bromley, Tyronville, PA, Lawrence and Irene Bromley, Chapmanville, PA, Bill and Carol Bromley, Cherrytree, PA, Jim and Chris Bromley, Townville, PA, and Roger and Sandy Bromley, Jamestown, NY; sister-in-law, Estelle Green, CA; ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews survive.
In addition to her parents and spouse, a daughter Sarah Meyrick and sisters, Myrlette Sterner and Betty Herring, preceded her in death.
The family has requested that if so desired, memorials in memory of Mrs. Meyrick be made to the Carolina Cancer Center, 100 Aurora Place, Aiken, SC 29801.
