Funeral services for Mr. Jerry A. Hatcher will take place on Monday, December 28, 2009 at 2pm at Shiloh Baptist Church with Rev. Taylor Wells officiating. Pallbearers will be Chris Wise, Gene Garland, Charles Hatcher, Jerry Hall, Murtis Benton and Aaron Smoak. Interment will follow at Aiken Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave. SW on Sunday from 6-7:30pm. Memorial donations may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Mr. Hatcher, 60, of Aiken, died Tuesday December 22, 2009 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. A life long resident of Aiken, he was the son of the late Wilbur Hatcher and Ruby Temples Hatcher. Before retiring in 2001, he had worked for over thirty years as a HVAC repairman at the former Graniteville Corporation/Avondale Plant. Mr. Hatcher was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and an avid hunter and fisherman. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, JD Hatcher. He is survived by his wife, of forty years, Margaret Quirk Hatcher, Aiken, two daughters, Gwin Larry Morse, Aiken and Natasha Wise, Aiken; a sister, Shirley Marion Fulmer, Aiken and three grandchildren, Tyler Morse, Jacob Morse and Zachary Wise.
