Obituary of Margaret Elizabeth Starling

AIKEN, SC-- Margaret Elizabeth Rodgers Starling, age 88, passed away peacefully August 31, 2018 following an extended illness.

            A life-long resident of Aiken, she was born on February 19, 1930 to the late Theodore & Cola Jackson Rodgers. She was self-employed and was a member of Bible Faith Holiness Church.

            Survivors include a granddaughter Heather (Mark) Roberts of Aiken; a grandson Andrew Lewis III of Aiken and 4 great-grandchildren, Gavin Lewis, Carolina Lewis, Whitney Hammonds, Sydnee Hammonds, Kayla Hammonds & 3 great-great grandchildren.

            In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by a brother, Gerald Rodgers and a son, Andrew “AJ” Lewis, Jr.

            Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Bible Holiness Church, Columbia Hwy., Aiken, SC with the Rev. Eddie Moyer officiating. Interment will follow in New Beginnings Congregational Holiness Church.

            The family will receive friends beginning one hour prior to the service at the church.
