Funeral services for Iva Mae Hegler, 88, of Aiken, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2016 at Levels Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Gareth Hegler. Burial will follow in Southlawn Cemetery, under the care of GEORGE FUNERAL HOME. Pallbearers will be the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Bethany Sunday School Class. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Hegler, widow of Ray Hegler, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2016. Born in Lancaster, SC, she was a daughter of the late Ross and Edell Baker. She was a longtime area resident and a member of Levels Baptist Church and the Bethany Sunday School Class. Mrs. Hegler was known for her extensive doll collection. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son Barry Hegler and a daughter, Lynette Hegler Vickery. Surviving are her son, Rev. Gareth Ray Hegler (Jan) of Aiken; a daughter, Beverly Pilz (Richard) of Aiken, son-in-law, Jeff Vickery (Joyce) of Aiken; daughter-in-law, Debbie Hegler of Aiken; grandchildren, April Storey, Jeremy Kelley, Rhonda Kelley Rice (Brandon), Sara Vickery, Morgan Hegler Shartzer (Bart), Tanner Greaves and Collin Hegler; a step-grandson, Michael Burton and 6 great-grandchildren.
