Funeral Services for Mrs. Julia Waters Fulmer will take place on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 2pm at the chapel of George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken, SC with Dr. Rev. Chris Conner officiating. Pallbearers will be Randy Smith, Mickey Waters, Jarrod Storey, Wes Watts, Gerry Waters and Edward Hallman. Interment will follow at Aiken Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening, 6-8pm. Memorial donations may be directed to Infinity Hospice, 220 Richland Ave. West, Aiken, SC 29801.
Mrs. Fulmer, 85, of Aiken, died Wednesday at Pepper Hill Nursing Center. A daughter of the late Phillip Waters and Blanch Spires Waters, she was a lifelong resident of Aiken County and a former member of Earle Church of God. Before retiring in the early 1970's, she had worked as a filler at the Graniteville Company. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved being with her family, especially cooking for Sunday dinners.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Fulmer, thirteen siblings, a son-in-law, Ralph Jowers and a son; Roger Quattlebaum, who is survived by two children, three grandchildren and one great grandson.
She is survived by two daughters; Imogene Jowers, Aiken and Judy Jerry Storey, New Holland, two brothers; Thirl Waters, Aiken and Gerald Waters, New Holland, four grandchildren; Tina Wes Jowers Watts, Keith Storey, Julie Renee Jowers and Steven George and two great grandsons; Jarrod Storey and Weston Watts.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Infinity Hospice and Pepper Hill Nursing Center for the excellent care provided to Miss Julia.
