A Requiem Mass for Phyllis M. Hirsch will be celebrated at 11 A.M. on Saturday September 30, 2017 at St. Mary Help of Christian Catholic Church, Park Ave. Interment will be held at 12 PM, Saturday, October 7, 2017 in Holy Cross Cemetery, in Illinois at a later date. A prayer service will be held this Friday evening at 6:15 PM at George Funeral Home and the family will receive friends until 8 P.M. In LIEU of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Alzheimers Association. Mrs. Hirsch, 91, of Aiken, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2017. Born in Chicago, she was a daughter of the late Felix and Sophie Szotek Stelmaszek. Survivors include her sons, Leslie "Les" Hirsch (Joanne) of Aiken and Randall "Randy" Hirsch (Karen) of Galloway, Ohio; grandchildren, Jeni Lambert (Nick) of Aiken, Penny Edwards (Todd) of Charlotte, Shaun Hirsch (Rebecca) of Pace, Florida, Cassandra "Cassie" Clark (Bryan) of Simpsonville, Alexandra "Ali" Hirsch and Jeffrey "Jeff" Hirsch, both of Galloway, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Nathan Edwards, Jessica Edwards, Emma Lambert, Evelyn Lambert, Luke Hirsch, Ben Hirsch and Nevin Hirsch and a brother, Harry Stelmaszek (Joanne) of Valparaiso, Indiana.
