Funeral services for Mr. Chuck Henderson will be held Wednesday, August 4, 2004 at 10 AM at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC with Pastor Keith Slaughter officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 3, 2004 from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home. Chuck, 53, of Aiken, SC, devoted husband and soul mate of Deborah Miles-Henderson, died suddenly Tuesday, afternoon, July 27, 2004 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Born in Bronx, NY a son of the late Lillian Brown Henderson and Charles Henderson, Sr., Bronx, NY, he had been a Truck Driver for twenty-four years and for the last five he had been with J.B. Hunt. Chuck enjoyed working on his truck and was an avid basketball and football fan of the LA Lakers and Pittsburgh Steelers. He had been a resident of Aiken since May of 1990 where he attended Friendship Baptist Church. In addition to his wife and father, a daughter, Evita Bonita Henderson, a third year medical student at M.U.S.C.; mother-in-law, Cecelia Miles, Aiken, SC; sister-in-law, Bonita Miles, Aiken, SC; brother-in-law, Sammie Stevens, Jamaica, NY; and a host of nieces and nephews, survive. If so desired, please make memorials to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box K, Aiken, SC 29802.
