Funeral services for William Warren Stewart will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2004 at 3pm at Earle Church of God with Rev. Tony Garrett and Rev. John Christmas officiating. Interment will take place in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening, 6-8 pm at the church. Memorial donations may be directed to Earle Church of God, 341 Earle Church Rd., Aiken, SC 29805. Arrangements are under the direction of George Funeral Homes Historic Downtown Chapel 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken. Mr. Stewart, 67, of Foxtown, died Monday at his residence. A lifelong resident of Aiken County, William was a dedicated farmer. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and wood working.. He was a kind, gentle and humble man who was always ready with a joke and a smile. He was a member of Earle Church of God. He is pre-deceased by his parents; Willie W. and Mabel Huff Stewart and a sister, Sallie McMurray. He is survived by four brothers; Clyde Stewart, Foxtown, Luther A. Stewart, Foxtown, James Henry Stewart, Warrenville, and Hubert Stewart, Windsor, two sisters; Alma Warnock, Aiken and Frances Farron, Hepzibah, GA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
