Mr. Marshall Irving Harris, 74, of Aiken, died, Sunday, September 7, 2008 at his residence. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary Ellen Gamble Harris. He graduated from University of Illinois in 1960. He and his wife owned Harris Music in Rockville, MD for 32 years. Marshall was past president of the Wheaton Kiwanis Club and the Wheaton Chamber of Commerce in Maryland, a member of the Masonic Lodge #228, Wheaton, MD, Scottish Rite and Almas Temple in Washington, DC. He moved to Aiken in 2007 from Naples, FL. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Mildred Mullaney. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Gagne Harris, sons, Christopher Harris, Kannapolis, NC; Matthew Harris, Rockville, MD; sister, Marian Woods, Summerville, SC; grandchildren, Matthew Harris, Jr., Cassie Harris, Rebecca Harris, and Eric Harris. Funeral services for Mr. Marshall Irving Harris will be private. George Funeral Home & Cremation Center is assisting the family.
