A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Charles Arville Mauldin will be held Monday, January 23, 2006 at 4 PM at South Aiken Baptist Church, Aiken, SC, with Pastor Michael Dyar officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 22, 2006 from 6 until 8 PM at the home of Margaret Lois Mauldin, 409 Tracewood Place, Aiken, SC
Mr. Mauldin, 73, of Aiken, SC, died suddenly, Thursday, afternoon, January 19, 2006.
Born in Walhalla, SC, and raised in Seneca, SC, he was a son of the late Marvin Thompkins and Elizabeth Nell Maguire Mauldin. He attended both Clemson and Furman and proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. A resident of Aiken, SC for over forty years, he retired from Westinghouse where he was a Computer Engineer. Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He would give to anyone in need even if it meant him doing without.
He is survived by his wife and best friend of thirty-five years, Patricia McConnell Mauldin, daughters, Margaret Lois Mauldin, Aiken, SC and Staci Faith Mauldin-Costello, Michael Hampton, VA; sisters, Sarah Ruth Harris, Seneca, SC and Betty Jo Crandall, Central, SC; brothers, Marvin Thompkins Mauldin, GA and Douglas Mauldin, Seneca, SC; and one grandson, Josef Mauldin Costello. He was preceded in death by a brother, Wallace Dean Mauldin.
The family has requested that memorials be made to the American Heart Association, 1003 Hammond Rd., Aiken, SC 29803.
